Lucy Liu is an American actress voice actress director producer and vocalist. Beautiful, intelligent and gifted actress, she's a great example to Asian actors who are aspiring to become big names in Hollywood. After a series of appearances in popular TV series her name was a household name after being cast as a character in Ally McBeal legal comedy where she portrayed Ling Woo. The new fame she gained was translated into roles that were filmed on the large screen in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and other films. She then delivered an outstanding performance in the role of Japanese criminal O'Ren Ishii, in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. While she was in the film her role as a leading lady in flops of the box office like Rise: Blood Hunter were as well-known. Then, she was able to voice prominent characters in animation films, such as Kung Fu Panda. small screen roles like Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia didn't yield any outcomes. Southland's critically-acclaimed police drama, Southland and a recurring performance helped Liu to reestablish herself her status as a well-known actress.
