Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne:] or [pa:dUko:nborn 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress who primarily works in Hindi films. Her accolades include the three Filmfare Awards. She is the highest paid actors. Time Magazine named Padukone among the top 100 people of influence in the world for 2018. They also awarded her The TIME100 Impact Award 2022. Padukone is the child of Badminton's champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born in and grew up in Bangalore. At the age of 13 she competed in badminton championships at the national level. She later quit the sport to pursue a profession as a fashion stylist. Soon, she began being offered roles in films. Her first acting job was playing Aishwarya, the Kannada title character. Padukone was then cast in the double character as Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) Her debut Bollywood release. The film earned Padukone an award called the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut. Padukone got praise for her role as the main character in the romance Love Aaj Kal (2009) which was later followed by a brief disappointment.
